This assessment measures the student’s knowledge and technical skills necessary to complete job assignments related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical components. Specifically, components related to the understanding of electrical fundamentals as a prerequisite for diagnosing and repairing major appliances, HVAC equipment, swimming pool pumps, electrical motors, and defective circuits in a home or apartment.

Preserving test integrity is critical to the academic standards of AC/C TECH programs; therefore, all pre-assessments are closed-book proctored tests. Students may complete assessments via the internet if monitored by a divisional supervisor, or by a person of higher-level.
