This assessment measures the student’s knowledge and technical skills necessary to complete job assignments related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of appliances: specifically, ranges, refrigerators, dishwashers, washers and dryers.  This assessment includes components related to the anatomy of the appliance, schematic wiring diagram interpretation, component test and evaluation, diagnosing and repair procedures, planned maintenance activities, health and safety inspections, etc.

Preserving test integrity is critical to the academic standards of AC/C TECH programs; therefore, all pre-assessments are closed-book proctored tests. Students may complete assessments via the internet if monitored by a divisional supervisor, or by a person of higher-level.
